5 Reasons you need an AeroPress

Your coffee making process is really as simple as: grind, pour and press. This is one of the quickest coffee brewers in the market, proving that an Aeropress your fix if you don’t have the time to wait around for hours for a cuppa. Quick results also mean lesser acidity levels, which is always a plus!

Fun to learn

The basics are easy to learn, and you can start experimenting with different ingredients, variables and recipes quickly. Tinker with the water temperature, grind size, roasts and timing one cup at a time to understand what you like best.

Recipe from: Wendelien van Bunnik, Netherlands

  • Coffee: 30grams
  • Grind: 7/10 (1 = very fine, 10 = very coarse)
  • Water: 100grams at 97°C
  • Brewer: Inverted
  • Filter: Aesir Filter (rinsed) 
  • Total brew time: 60 seconds

Directions:

  1. Pour 100g of water on the coffee in 10 seconds.
  2. Stir firmly about 20 times in 10 seconds.
  3. Put the filter cap with rinsed water on the brewer and gently press out excess air.
  4. At 40 seconds, flip the AeroPress and press all the coffee out. You should end up with roughly 60g of extracted coffee.
  5. Add 100g of water to extracted coffee.
  6. Taste and add more water until the desired strength.
  7. Cool and brew down to roughly 60°C by stirring and decanting
  8. Enjoy!
