Iced Coffee Tips & Recipes for the Summer

There’s something so refreshing about a tall glass of iced coffee, but the same thing can get a little tedious everyday. We’re here with new recipes and some secret tips and tricks for you to try this summer. As always, try using high-quality beans and grind your own batch and remember to have fun with it! Experimenting with different flavours and ingredients will help you understand your tastes better.

Cardamom Rose Iced Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups iced coffee
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp rosewater
  • Ice cubes

Add cardamom to milk over low heat for 20 minutes. Strain and let it cool in the fridge.

To cool mixture, add rosewater, ice cubes, and fill 2/3rds with coffee and the rest with milk.

Stir and enjoy!

TIP!

Make coffee ice cubes and store it in the freezer for later. The best part? They add flavour to your brew instead of diluting it when they melt!

Sweetened Cinnamon Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1tsp cinnamon powder
  • Ice cubes

Fill a cocktail shaker with condensed milk, coffee and cinnamon. Shake it up and add 5-6 cubes of ice. Shake it vigorously for about two minutes, strain the coffee mixture into a glass full of ice and enjoy!

TIP!

Let it cool overnight! If you’re not able to, shake it cold like you would a cocktail.

Vodka Vanilla Latte

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Amarula, or any cream liqueur
  • 30 ml vodka
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup iced coffee

Since you’ve already broken out the shaker, might as well raid the liquor cabinet. Build the ingredients by pouring in the cream liqueur first, then the vodka, essence, and coffee. Stir and enjoy!

TIP!

If you’re running low on cream liqueur, you can switch it with another! Try baileys, amaretto or hazelnut liqueur which could add sweetness and a nutty profile to your drink.
